The CarSharing Association (CSA) represents member car-sharing organizations that agree to adhere to the same Code of Ethics. CarShare Vermont is a member among 17 others.
Another great resource site, especially for global car-sharing information.
The Victoria Transport Policy Institute is an independent research organization developing solutions for transit-related problems. Again, a fantastic site for free transportation resources. Check out the TDM (Transportation Demand Management) Encyclopedia!
The Mineta Transportation Institute specializes in policy studies related to surface transportation. Their most recent studies include one on the greenhouse gas emission impacts of car-sharing.
With the help of AAA’s 2012 Driving Cost Guide, figure out how much you actually pay to drive. It includes a worksheet for figuring out your own costs.

The Chittenden County Transportation Authority provides bus service to the greater Burlington area. Riding the bus works perfectly combined with car-sharing!
Local Motion is a member-supported non-profit focused on making the Burlington area a better place to walk and bike.
The Chittenden County Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO) is the Metropolitan Planning Organization for the 18 municipalities in Chittenden County. They have a very thorough library of transportation studies.
The Campus Area Transportation Association (CATMA) manages the transportation and parking demands of the Burlington “Hill” area. Members include Champlain College, Fletcher Allen and the University of Vermont.
Go Vermont helps commuters figure out how to carpool, vanpool, or use mass transit to get around the state. They want to help you save money and drive less.
The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) manages, maintains and monitors the Vermont State roads, airports, railways and public transportation.
The Transportation Research Center at the University of Vermont is a hub for innovative and interdisciplinary research, education and outreach on sustainable transportation system solutions. We’re lucky to have such an important facility right here in Burlington.
