At CarShare Vermont, we’re committed to changing the culture of car dependence because our future depends on it. But we can’t do it alone. We successfully introduced car-sharing to Burlington in 2008 with the goal of becoming a financially self-reliant nonprofit by 2015. We’re making great progress toward this goal, but we need help from our community of supporters to get there. We’re happy to report that since our inception, we’ve helped remove about 100 cars from Burlington streets. Additionally, our members have saved more than 50,000 gallons of gasoline and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by one million pounds!
