Update from CarShare Vermont

We’re coming!

Summer is ending, apples are taking the place of peaches on the shelves of grocery stores, there’s a slight nip in the air…but where are the new CarShare Vermont cars you ask? They’re coming, we promise!

We’ve been working just as hard and quickly as we can to bring car-sharing to Vermont in the most sustainable way possible. Most of the pieces are falling into place exactly according to plan, but we’ve also recently run into a few unexpected glitches that are unfortunately impeding our critical path to launch.

Fear not. We’re doing everything possible to creatively resolve these issues so that we can put cars on the road for sharing in the not too distant future, helping some of you to finally get rid of that second (or third) household car and allowing others to simply enjoy the freedom of driving without all the hassles of owning a car all together. If you haven’t already, we invite you to join our mailing list so we can keep you well informed as we continue to make progress toward our launch. To join the list, please fill out the form on the contact page of our website.

Good news is that our online application will soon be available so that you can join CarShare Vermont as a member and be ready to make reservations and drive when the cars hit the road. Again, we'll let you know as soon as we're ready to accept applications for membership during the next few weeks.

As always, questions, comments, and concerns can be directed to Annie Bourdon, our executive director, at annie@carsharevt.org. Or feel free to swing by our new office at 131 St. Paul St. in downtown Burlington.

Thank you!
